it's funny how a few years spent together could bind us for a lifetime. feels that way with my group of girls. sure we’ve had our arguments. our petty differences. and we’re not exactly tight now that we each have our own lives to lead. but somehow, i feel reassured in the knowledge that apart from my family, i have my girls to fall back on should things go really wrong.

sometimes i wonder
if i made a wrong step somewhere
and things don’t seem to be as they had been before
it's not so hard then
to just lay down and cry
but then i heard a chorus of voices
coming from the other shore
“look up look”

these are my frens, my frens
just some people walking the same road
with hands
joined as one together
cross the bridge
see the rainbow
feel the breeze
watch the flowers grow
touch the sky
don’t u know
we can go higher higher higher…
